UnitingCare Gippsland DisAbility Team

Our DisAbility Services Team provides an exciting and extensive program of recreational activities and respite for young people and adults with additional needs.We have a pool of volunteers who actively assist and support our workers.We organise weekly activities e.g. movie nights, bar-b-ques, cruises, shows, camping, fishing, social groups etc. We arrange trips to Melbourne and other areas around Gippsland. We also have a School Holiday Program which provides a range of activities during this busy time. Our volunteers assist in all aspects of our activities which can include general supervision, assisting and preparing snacks, driving the bus, help ensure client safety, pushing wheelchairs and social interaction. We are keen to hear from members of the community whom may be able to spare some time to assist our programs.
